Every number on this site can be checked. This is the mechanism for what happens if one of them turns out to be wrong, published now, while the log is empty. A corrections policy written after the fact is a defense. Written in advance, it is a standard, and it is the one thing a competitor cannot copy after they need it.

What counts
A claim published to a reader outside this company that turns out to be wrong, or that stops being true and is left standing. A rewrite for tone or position is an edit and does not appear here. Editorial history from before publication is not errata.

How fast
A claim confirmed wrong comes down immediately, without waiting for replacement copy. Removal and replacement are separate steps and only the first is urgent. The entry publishes here within five business days.

The record stands
What was said is quoted, not paraphrased into something softer. Entries are never deleted and never reworded after publication. An entry that is itself wrong gets its own correction and a new identifier.

Documents carry their own
Where a correction touches a published document, the version increments, the record of revisions gains a line, and the correction is linked from the document. A superseded revision keeps its own address and its own contents, so a citation stays resolvable.

How to raise one
Send the page and the claim. A challenge to one sentence or one cell is treated as a finding. A comparison published by one of the parties compared earns trust by being checkable, and checking has to be easy or it does not happen.
